What your symptoms — Do you feel tired? stressed? Trying to unsuccessfully get pregnant? Want to stop anxiety? Wish you had a better mood? Something weird happening in your body that everyone just says ‘we’ll wait and see what happens’?
As a naturopathic doctor that practices strategic and functional medicine, I work to eliminate a wide variety of symptoms and resolve conditions. When you visit most healthcare practitioner pages the service page is often filled with a long list of conditions. I want to try something different.
As patients, it has become habit to share laundry list of symptoms and a diagnosis label provided to us. We spend our time searching for a cure or a remediation that stops [insert symptom] from happening, but we often forget to ask ‘why is this happening to me?’
Instead of labeling your condition by collecting your symptoms, I think of symptoms are just a red flag going up in the body, they are very real, but are also just the way our body sends up a signal flare.
Our symptoms get worse when we ignore our body to a point that it has to scream for us to pay attention (ie. symptoms become much worse and sometimes debilitating).
I believe my job is not to treat your diabetes, thyroid condition, obesity, infertility, etc. My job is to figure out the biomedical reason this is happening – what are the functions in your body that are delayed, speed up or shut down. How do we recovery your body and prevent additional diseases from taking hold.
I want to help you identify your obstacles – the things holding you back from greatness. Your greatness obstacle may be preventing you from being a parent, starting a new career, feeling good in your body…
Obstacles to Feeling Great Include:
- Stress Sensitivity
- Mineral Deficiency
- Environmental Exposure
- Nutritional Habits
- Bacteria or Viral Infections
- Organ dysfunction
- Insulin resistance
- Heavy Metal Exposure
- Solvent Exposure
- Herbal/Medication Interactions
- Food Intolerances
- Antibiotic Use
